MEANS OF CONTEMPLATION

To accept diversity, the function of the building should not be confined to the international food market. Furthermore, it offers people from different background, levels the opportunity to learn and practice the knowledge of healthy eating. At the same time, offers the job opportunity and practice at the restaurant where they have a chance to serve the food they practised at the teaching kitchen. Also, the place offers the gallery which could be used as an indirect way of learning, contemplating, and healing the wound of the memory.

Publicity and Privacy
Linking one primary access to the other will increase the connectivity mentioned above, heading towards the walkable city. The ground floor intended to make a welcoming space. The courtyard naturally becomes a vibrant space unlike the Writer’s Square nearby. The big difference is this place has a variety of attractions to drag people into the courtyard and the passage from one street to the other street.

Rhythm
The facade design was examined by finding rhythm by referencing the skyline made by adjacent buildings. the surrounding buildings mainly consist of pitched roofs and flat roofs. The process begins with the simple juxtaposition of pitched and flat roof to excessive overlapping of pitched roofs. However, those are either too simple or too crowded and doesn’t articulate into the area properly. After searching for the unique rhythm found from the opposite side of buildings and fused it into the area, the new facade creates another unique face and skyline.

Function
