The Cork House and the Cork Studio
Responding to the Cork House and the Cork Studio case studies research and focused on the possibilities of cork as a sustainable construction material, and as a starting point, the students were asked to present their research and to make an object to a scale, that demonstrates their findings and crystalises their ‘emotional’ response to a context of their choice. The final proposal took into consideration programme, scale, the community and its environment.
