The aim of Phase 2 of the project was for each student to build on the phase one investigations and apply passive measures to attain thermal comfort in the case study building focusing on optimisation of the application of building materials, shape and form, fabric heat capacity and U-value, ventilation and air change rate, shading elements, window to wall ratio, embodied carbon with a careful consideration of the social and humane aspects of design.
