In today\u2019s societies, there is an increase in the amount of people conducting sedentary lifestyle that shows a surge in both physical and mental illnesses. Sport clubs are increasingly emerged in cities; however, these failed to stop the issue. There are currently two systems for running sport activities in institutional level. First, when it is privately operating separated from the public. Second, when green spaces are overtaken for sport uses that decreases the chance for non-sport and leisure activities to occur alongside it. Llandaff is a victim of the latter.<\/p>\n

Due to Covid-19, the lockdown has shown a shift from the dominating sport activities on the fields. Leisure and non-sport based uses have taken back the park for incidental playing, recreational and explorative activities to run alongside. How can this harmony be captured? Can this unexpected continuity be preserved when the sport clubs can operate?<\/p>\n

The following case study investigates the possibility for integrating sport uses into the life of the public that can encourage movement, while addressing the needs of non-sport and leisure activities at the same time. A social master plan is drawn up of Llandaff fields distributing smaller scale interventions throughout the whole park addressing the needs of non-sport, leisure, and sport users equally.<\/p>\n

All in all, it is to live with the landscape. It is time for sport activities to be about the enjoyment of the movement without becoming exposed, dominating landmarks. This is not only can make everyone to become part of the happenings. Every member of the community can find their own interest. One can explore their willing through moving, pausing and wandering.
