The Continuous Movement and Progress
The proposal celebrates natural resources in Wales – providing a new identity and ownership to the land and community- by introducing a more sustainable method of energy production and food supply. The previous use of the site selling coal- and effectively co2- is replaced with an indoor farm and green visitor centre to reduce the carbon footprint.
The landscape encourages natural rewilding, creating biodiversity working towards a self-sustaining permaculture. The building values local sourcing with a high-quality output. The community become a key part of the cycle – producing, consuming, and decomposing- by recycling food waste for used biofertilizer by anaerobic digestion.
