Intercultural node expansion on stakeholders -Santa chiara a central node
The EMUVE is developed under a very complex background, and there are deep reasons behind many phenomena. This demands our critical thinking, and we cannot just see the phenomenon itself. For the research itself, every design decision must be accompanied by critical thinking. So in my Reflective diary I will show the process of thinking leaving traces and clues for my research process. It is not only related to the architectural space, but also includes my thinking on the social level, the urban level, architecture level and even the anthropological in social level.
People from different cultural background, For example, locals, refugees, and migrants could communicate and participate in daily activities without prejudice, which actively integrate here to reactivate abandoned spaces in the cities. Obtain the specific composition of intercultural space through literature review “Intercultural training” and “ Interactive Participation”.
Intercultural node (ICN) a specific space in network for all people from different cultural background, For example, locals, refugees, and migrants could communicate and participate in daily activities without prejudice, which actively integrate here to reactivate abandoned spaces in the cities. Obtain the specific composition of intercultural space through literature review “Intercultural training” and “Interactive Participation”
The proposal of Intercultural node (ICN) is targeted at different kinds of people including refugees, migrants and locals from different cultural backgrounds. It provides a platform for intercultural training through various activities. However, It is not just a single point, but a series of interconnected networks in the region. All people could communicate effectively. They would experience a period of communication, synergy, which provides opportunities for integration in creating Urban atmosphere organically.
In order for the research proposal to be feasible here, it must be based on an existing network of Stakeholders. By measuring the influence and characteristics of different Stakeholders, Santa Chiara would be the main central node. It not only provides basic refugee assistance, but according to the specific design of intercultural training, it will connect surrounding Stakeholders and create more intercultural communication chance.
In some way gap would be the key thing for be an intervention to the site through proper method in modifying. As previous stage in architecture research design, I found a gap with high potential is local stakeholder. The goal in this step is define the Potential of developing network through stakeholders and set Santa Chiara as a central node.
