Re-discovering tales of the past and fostering new stories
Welsh literature reveals many stories of magical beings, Kings and Queens, and of what is right and wrong.
Two things I have noticed they have in common firstly teaching, for example, do not be greedy. Secondly, there is often the presence of water bodies in the stories. A lake, a river, or a storm. Water has and continues to play an integral part in Welsh life demonstrated in the effect on Welsh folklore through its literature. This narrative is continued into the master planning and conceptual thinking of the project. Fundamental to the proposal will be elements of myths, imagination, and play. As well as serving as a cultural centre to celebrate Welsh heritage, it will become a place to foster new stories for the coming generations.
