Computation and Innovation

15 September 2021 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free

Lets look at the role of computation in the future of architecture – how will the design process and role of the architect change?
How will environmental analysis and optimisation, fabrication techniques, and idea/form-finding using AI and algorithmic methods, drive and change our design process?

18:00 | Key Speaker Neil Leach
Neil Leach is a British architect and professor. He currently teaches at FIU, EGS and Tongji, and previously taught at the AA, Harvard GSD, Columbia, Cornell and SCI-Arc. He has been a NASA Research Fellow working on a 3D printer for the Moon and Mars, and is a member of the Academy of Europe. He has published over 40 books on architectural theory and digital practice, and is currently writing about AI.
