Project Description

Eisteddfod Stage

The object of this project was to regenerate the negligent Mount Stuart Graving Docks, through introducing colour, green systems and community.

Collaboration between local schools and communities, creates an enduring sustainable design, beyond the use at the Eisteddfod festival.

Stained glass style panels (coloured film and plexiglass) designed by local schools are used in the construction of the stage, which reflect onto the stage during the performances. This adds colour and play into the Docks, and is socially sustainable.

The coloured art panels, and community garden both need maintenance, which encourages use of the area beyond the period of the festival.
