1、How to integrate nature and architecture to achieve the emotional flourishing of participants.
2、How to improve seasonal comfort and outdoor thermal comfort.
3、How to combine Chinese design elements (Kong mingsuo, traditional garden) with Cardiff style, to reflect the cultural exchange and international atmosphere of Cardiff University.
4、How to improve the utilization rate of buildings through games, to promote students' interdisciplinary and cross-national exchanges.
5、How to promote the harmonious coexistence between man and nature and promote biodiversity.

Contemporary college students are facing higher and higher pressure. These pressure sources are gradually diversified and aggravated, which leads to different degrees of psychological defects, such as loneliness and inferiority. In addition, under the COVID-19, outdoor space can reduce the risk of indoor transmission because of its excellent ventilation and openness, to enhance the sense of security on campus.

1. Using flourishing theory as the prototype, a new flourishing theory model is created through the Cardiff nature and environment survey to guide the design work.
2. Through Cardiff's sunshine and wind survey, plan comfort areas in different seasons.
3. By simplifying the mortise and tenon structure of the "Kongming lock" (Chinese traditional woodworking toy), students can freely assemble the functional areas they need.
4. By combining the "coin game" with the project, students can DIY their campus life by participating in the game.
5. Introduce Chinese traditional garden design elements to build a stable biological habitat.

Natural elements (plants, animals, etc.) are not only the scenery and decoration around the building but also the bridge between students and nature. Using the flexibility of mortise and tenon structure to introduce the natural landscape into the campus, promote students to get close to nature and communicate with nature, and make campus life diversified. It is an important way to cultivate students' sound personalities and relieve pressure.
