AHRA Conference 2021

Themes of mental disease, loneliness and community.

It was in our interest to explore more the impact of Lockdown on individuals.

We worked together to derive an architectural intervention where a community comes to grow their seed and leave a memory behind in its place. This intervention can transform throughout the ages which the final proposal gives an example of.

A past year and half forced us not only to discover the issues faced by those surrounding us but within ourselves. Covid-19 is a reminder to take care of ourselves and the people surrounding us. It made us all aware of our mental capacity and the importance of shared memories.
Such year drove our interest in bringing a discussion towards those struggling to recover from personal mental health challenges. Forget-Me-Not is an intervention to celebrate the positive moments that remain alongside the challenges of Dementia. This is a space to enjoy whilst living within everyday constraints.
