A multi-functional social space

A permanent pedestrianised area, aimed to encourage skateboarding, designed to be used for various purposes and complimented with temporary structures

Orientating the design to incentivise skating brings a new demographic to the bay, increasing engagement with the local retail, leisure, culture and events.

Its simple shape acts as a blank canvas, allowing the space to manipulated into serving other functions, such as fitness classes, public performances, outdoor theatre or markets.
