The mixed- residential housing proposal is set on an exisiting car park in Cardiff City Centre.

Through site interrogation and research, it became clear that there is an excess of car parks in Cardiff, and an opportunity to create housing for its diverse communities.

The proposal targets the diverse and growing population of people within Cardiff who are open to sharing and living as a tight knit community, whilst addressing the negative stigmas around high-density housing. The proposal is arranged as a family of interconnect blocks surrounding a vegetated courtyard accessible to both the public and residents.

The volumetric design and scale of the blocks respond to the surrounding context and levels of public movement.The volumes work together on the site to provide three different housing typologies of varying size and affordability.
