An in-depth investigation into service systems of case studies of sustainable mega buildings
The project aims to highlight the significance of providing a comfortable environment for occupants of mega-buildings through appropriate methodologies and approaches to the sustainable design of fabric and integrated service systems. The specific aims of this project are to:
1. Make an in-depth investigation of a case study concerning the service systems including lighting, heating and cooling, structural systems, fire protection, acoustics and noise control, etc.
2. Develop a methodology to monitor (desktop case study) and evaluate the spaces in more detail to understand the existing performance and identify any issues with the existing systems. Identify appropriate and relevant monitoring equipment, which will be made available to you.
3. Evaluate the impact of the integrated service systems on the overall performance of the building and on the health, comfort and wellbeing of the building users.
