Project Description
Kitchen Kiosk
For this project my kiosk will serve fried rice and focuses on modularity and sustainability.
Since there would be multiple kiosks on the Millennium Walk each kiosk would need different spatial requirements so creating modules that can attach and detach from one another allows for flexibility.
The exterior of the kiosk is constructed out of SIP panels and its simplistic form means that some panels can be repeated for a different face making it more sustainable as it reduces waste. The kiosk has removable panels for security and for increased flexibility for the interior thermal comfort and lighting I have designed different panels that can enclose the kiosk when it is not being used. There are multiple types of panels that can be attached depending on the kiosk and desired need. The panels use bamboo and rice sacks in a weave which has been inspired by the techniques used to make the rice sacks.
The final outcome has reached my main design aims while reflecting the food being served in the kiosk.
