Can ruination, replication and reconstruction elicit new forms of architectural monument?
We are not desolate, we pallid stones
I came to architecture via theatre design, furniture making and oak framing, leading to a focus on the use of timber in architecture, temporary buildings, and conservation.
My interests lie in simplifying architecture – removing unnecessary layers and understanding solid construction methods through historic precedents.
I try to spend most of my downtime outdoors, and can usually be found in the sea or a river, surfing or swimming (often with my dog alongside).
