Master of Design Administration
Programme Leader
The MDA aims to meet the growing need for experts in design management within client bodies, consultancies, and contractor and specialist sub-contractor firms. A key challenge facing the construction industry is the successful integration and management of the design process, from project inception through to handover and post occupancy feedback. Essential to meet this challenge are innovative processes for the identification, communication and realisation of design intent, supported by clear contractual frameworks that accurately reflect the participants’ independent and shared responsibilities, all dealt with in-depth under the MDA. The programme is open to all construction related disciplines, may be undertaken while in employment, and offers blended learning and 100% distance learning options. It uses a variety of innovative teaching methods, including single and two day teaching events (on-campus and live-streamed), lunch-time webinars, workshops given by leading experts and a weekly blog updating students on course events and current industry developments.
