Project Description
A multi-purpose stage pavilion where wall dividers adjust to the activity being held
My inspiration from the site was its industrial history that can still be seen today. I incorporated this into my design for the stage. With each season, the pavilions floor plan adapts for the chosen programme.
Its adaptability allows for a free and flexible space - from the Maes' Eisteddfod concert stage; to a place for residents to socialise, play or watch performances.
Wall dividers adjust to the activity being held in the pavilion. The structure's upper storey remains open to the outside world and serves panoramic view of the Bay.
To develop my design for the stage I decided to study multiple precedents. I then used my knowledge from studying key features of the precedents in my own design.
