What is the role of physical books in the library of future?

Encourage students to use physical books in different ways and increase the access to the library.

With the development of technology, some students prefer to use electronic devices for learning and neglect the feeling of using physical books. This project provides students with some more convenient ways to use physical books to achieve better learning outcomes.

After learning about the purpose of the university and visiting the library and other forms of learning spaces at the university, the biggest difference between the library and other learning spaces was found: a wealth of physical resources. Therefore the focus of this research was on physical books. By observing and recording the crowds entering the library at regular intervals, the current state of use of the building and its problems were identified and have been enhanced and improved in this design research.

Increase the number of physical book activity spaces to provide a more comfortable learning experience for students through different reading nooks, thus improving learning outcomes.
