War on the Weather
The mains themes being addressed are climate change and methods of coastal defence.
Important to address due to the rising sea levels along our coastal cities.
The proposal was a achieved using a hybrid of approaches of flooding the site, reusing the existing abandoned buildings in a variety of ways, creating a space within the city for people to experience climate change first hand and to learn the best ways to adapt to this future.
By using a hybrid of approaches we can begin to change our coastal cities to work with climate change and the rising sea levels rather than just blocking them off from the sea with giant walls.
