Sanctuary Design Competition

Our proposal seeks to imagine a playful, multi-functional space for the school and pupils. Flexibility, ease of construction and a strong connection to nature and our proposed surrounding forest school was similarly integral to our idea.

We wanted to create a safe space where pupils feel comfortable opening up to support staff and therefore chose to design a space that did not feel at all "clinical". Internally, coloured shutters can be placed over the round window changing the interior feeling and allowing the space to be tailored to the needs of all children.
